A Shift From Politicized Discourse To The Military - TopicsExpress

A Shift From Politicized Discourse To The Military Stable... Since 1999 the military has been on what several CDSs, Service Chiefs refers to professionalism to date... The trend is to reposition the military and equip them with all it takes to preserve Nigerias sovereignty with our on tax. With our resources, personnel are expose to various warfare techniques in several parts of the world aside. The military top brass cannot claimed ignorance or novice of the fact that insurgency cum terrorism are the twin security challenge of 21st century. And so it is not a new trend to their knowledge. This nation has invested enough in the military and other security agencies, and where is the proceeds of our investment? Is the military telling Nigerians that there are certain locations within the territorial landscape of Federal Republic of Nigeria that are no go area for them? Who controls Nigerian Federation? Those with territory, government, military, population and legal sovereignty of a country with other state institutions? Or those with illegally operating in Nigerias territory? Nigerians must ask our military questions...what is the real problem? Is our military short of what is required militarily? What we are going through is clearly case of corruption and sheer negligence and complete lost of direction and focus expected of a serious country. I do know that the President is the C-in-C but any scrutiny associated with the President is precarious and deeply politicized while blood floors. Base on this, let us deliberately shift the goalpost to the military since it is a non-partisan and its constitutional role is securing our sovereignty.
