A Special Message buried in my Heart for eternity...........A Happy Grandparents Day to my Granny and Pap and Grandma. It was at Granny side I learned to love to cook and feed people, she worked from sun-up till sundown with her hair tightly combed into a bun, her long dress and apron crisp from freshly being ironed. An apron of love--she gathered ingredients into it and carried them to her worktable--she gathered veggies from the garden in it, she gathered flowers for the table and of course wood for the fire and coal--whatever needed to be done..even chicken feed was in pockets-what a marvelous piece of clothing and on such a hard working woman, and never was bothered by my inquisitive nature.Saturday morning was my favorite day, the house smelled of fresh bread, a weeks supply was baked that day. it was a gift from above the smell that came from her kitchen, and I do mean HER kitchen... She was a tall lady with a stern look, but once a week I could catch her outside after washing hair that came to her thighs, sitting in the sun and combing those long beautiful silver strands, and smiling at her precious cats nobody but she could touch..If she ever sat down it was for this or perhaps stringing beans, indeed it would be for a good reason--Happy Grand Mothers Day, Granny, I love you so and Thank you. Grandpap I know you are still by my side as I feel your presence evry day, When I was born they celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary and when I came to this country I was his pride and joy, and he never never failed to show it, My Love, MY Grandpap, we had special moments with candy he always kept for me, he worked as a logger and of course as small farmer to provide for his family, never too tired to smile at me and pat me on the head, as he still does..Happy Day Pap.... My Grandmother lived nest door and she was my all, she taught me hard work and drive, I never knew a day untill she became ill that she did not hold a full time job. A widow early, she cared for herself and helped her parents and tended to me and a garden etc, never do I remember I scolding--goodness knows I needed plenty--she would smile, grit her teeth alot and carry on..she always carried on and on...Love Grandma . for all you did and never got a thank you--Happy Grandparents Day-- I can only hope to be half the woman you were....Love you All so much..I am what you wonderful Grandparents made me--hopefully I can be half the influence you have been to me--With Love..........
