A Spectacle of Love: As we lament in this eve of pain and sorrow, Gloria and I were reminded of the recent events, we and many others, witnessed this passing week. It was truly a spectacle of love. Who could not be moved by the graciousness of our God as He prepared a special medical team for Josh and Michelle, seeing to every detail, including help with photos and even playing Christ Tomlin to sooth our daughter. Or who could miss the parade of people, some driving long distances, to simply express their love and support for the Youngs and our precious Gracie. We were reminded of the Kings, Magi, and Shepherds who surrounded our the baby Jesus on the eve of His birth. Or who could possibly miss the graciousness by which Josh Young and Michelle Young, although knowing Gracie was on borrowed time, rather than hoarding, freely shared her with everyone. They understood that love was meant to be shared, never hoarded. And who was not moved by Grace Lilys divine presence as she reflected the very love of God upon our faces. We saw no deformity or evil, just pure agape love. Finally, at the most critical time of Gracies departure, God surrounded Josh and Michelle with a core group who could uplift, support, and grieve with them at their darkest hour. God insulates, but satan isolates. It was truly divine how God insulated the Youngs with love. Yes, it was a spectacle of grace and love, where drama, pettiness, and shallowness disappeared, much in the same manner that darkness bails when the light shines. My fear is that now that Gracie has departed to Heaven, many will disconnect and stop following this FB page. Please resist the urge to return to the status quo, and watch what God has yet to do in and through the story of Growing with Gracie. With Much Love and Appreciation, VicnGlo Padilla
