A&T dept holds workshop on new pension scheme JAMMU, JULY 25: The Accounts and Treasuries Department today held a workshop to educate the treasure officers of Jammu region about the process, provisions and implementation of the New Pension Scheme in Jammu & Kashmir. The workshop focused on the issues voiced by the Pension Fund Regulatory & Development Authority (PFRDA), New Delhi and NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited Mumbai in respect of the implementation New Pension Scheme in Jammu & Kashmir State. Held under the chairmanship of Director General, Accounts & Treasuries, J&K Mr. A.M.M. Jehangir, all 57 Treasury Officers of Jammu Division, besides representatives of PFRDA and NSDL participated in the workshop. The Resource persons from PFRDA and NSDL gave a power point presentation discussing one to one issues regarding uploading , transferring of the amounts on account of subscribers share, employers matching share to the Trustee Bank i.e. Axis Bank. The Director General, Accounts &Treasuries, J&K directed all the Treasury Officers to regularly upload/ transfer the amounts of the subscribers (new entrants) to the Axis Bank, that too, in the first week of the following month. He explained that these amounts pertain to the employees and are invested in the market by the PFRDA and any delay in transferring the amounts will deprive the concerned employees of their legitimate returns of the amounts subscribed by them towards New Pension Scheme. The Director General further suggested the Treasury Officers that if they have any problem with respect to New Pension Scheme they can directly give a call to PFRDA and NSDL as also DGA&T and DAT Jammu. He further said that J&K Bank authorities shall be requested to advise their Heads of Business Units to let the Treasury Officers know the status of uploading/ transfer of the amounts to the Axis Bank. The DAT, Jammu informed that there are 15004 PRAN holders in Jammu Division and an amount of Rs. 84.02 crore has been transferred to the Axis Bank. He further directed the Treasury Officers to give full details of the legacy data PRAN wise and month wise so that the same are identified and uploaded simultaneously.
