~*A TIDBIT ON THE PENTACLE*~ Throughout the ages the symbol of the Pentagram has developed an infamous reputation among the common community, however, the meaning behind this sacred symbol is essentially one of absolute balance. It is most commonly worn as a potent grounding and protective charm by those in the Pagan community and is commonly incorporated into the Shrine of a Practitioner in some way or another to encourage a meditative and grounded state of mind when preforming a Ritual. Each point of the star symbolizes one of the four elements; Earth, Water, Fire and Air, with the upward point of the star representing Spirit. The five points combined represents Life in complete Balance and to some the Ring encasing them symbolizes the perfect balance of Nature in the Human Body while to others it symbolizes eternity and the infinite cycles of life in nature. To wear a Pentacle necklace or other form of jewelry, is to say you feel intimately connected with Nature and its cycles. If worn as a talisman the Pentagram serves as a frequent reminder of the concept it represents and is there by charged with your intent just by wearing it. In of itself, a pentacle can be just a piece of jewelry. It is what is charged into it by the Practitioner that brings and determines its Power and influence in your life.
