A TRIBUTE THAT BALANCES THE ARGUMENT BETWEEN “SUP” AND PRESIDENT SIRLEAF CONCERNING “TRUE LOYALTY” Comrade Anthony Nimley Broh, may you go in peace as you meet the God of massescricy in Heaven. Comrade militant, you were strong. Kpaku, you were mighty in the ever potent, indefatigable, Vanguard mass-based Students Unification Party (SUP). You spoke with bravery, fortitude and tenacity. SUP shouted along with you during your active moments on earth in the fight against social injustice and for academic freedom. You served SUP and ULSU in different capacities with clarity and distinction. But Comrade Broh, it is said that “say truth and it shall set you free and so Bo, I need to give you the facts even though you have left. Comrade! Comrade!! Comrade Broh, I bled in my heart while your fiancee cried profusely when I saw you lying in your casket. Your fraternity brothers and sisters in SUP refused to pay you a tribute in the spirit of true unification which is the party’s most important tradition when it comes to burying a fallen comrade. Oh yes! Comrade Broh, forgive them! SUP says they stand for the masses, sincerity and true unification but they broke that most significant, notable, extraordinary, outstanding and remarkable VOW to pay you that last respect. Oh Comrade Broh, to err is human and to forgive is divine. So forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing. ONE WHO CLAIMS EQUITY MUST COME WITH CLEAN HANDS BUT THE HANDS OF THOSE COMRADES ARE FILTHY. THEIR HANDS ARE EVIL BUT PLEASE FORGIVE THEM. YOUR DEATH WAS A MYSTERIOUS ONE AND THAT’S WHY I EXPECTED THE COMRADES TO BE THERE TO GIVE YOU THAT VERY LAST OUTSTANDING, EXCEPTIONAL, AND TERRIFIC RESPECT AND MANDATE ON THE DAY OF YOUR FINAL DEPARTURE WHICH IS ALWAYS A REVOLUTIONARY AUTHORIZATION FROM SUP BUT THEY REFUSED TO GIVE YOU THIS HONOR AS AN EXTENSION OF SUP’S PHILOSOPHY IN HEAVEN. Oh Comrade Broh, so you went without a mandate and a symbol of SUP? Comrade militant, were you wicked to the guys? I know that you served them, you blessed them, you counseled them and even shared with them as well in you cadre classes, in SUP and ULSU. When it was time for the guys, I mean those comrades from SUP and ULSU to bless and give you their new revolutionary mandate since you were going to meet the God of Odu-kudu, those comrades were absent. They described you as an agent of hope and a true fighter for academic freedom and human dignity. The called you cream-de-la cream and a reservoir of revolutionary tactics. JUST YESTERDAY, THE GUYS IN SUP BLASTED AT OUR NATIONAL LEADERS FOR NEGLECTING THE FATHER OF CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVITIES IN LIBERIA, ARCHBISHOP MICHAEL KPAKLA FRANCIS FOR NOT ATTENDING HIS FUNERAL. SUP Chairman said President Sirleaf was wicked. He described her as a mere joker for her refusal to pay the LAST RESPECT to the late Archbishop who SUP Chairman said she described as “a true conscience of society”. Comrade! Comrade!! SUP Chairman did the same thing to you bo and is painful. The Supists were the same people that were shouting and chanting battle cries with you when you were very robust in the militant wing of SUP. They complained President Sirleaf for doing this same wicked thing just yesterday but they failed to correct their mistakes. Bo, while we were on our way to your funeral, the comrades were in their T-shirts going the other way. I really thought that the guys would have printed some T-shirts with your photo on it and joined us but they refused. If you ask them now where you were buried, the comrades will not locate your grave. However, they can easily locate the grave of a non-comrade to where they went; I mean their new direction and a chopping spot. BO, THE GUYS WERE UNFAIR TO YOU. I SAY THE COMRADES SCAMMED ON YOU BIG TIME AND WENT TO PAY TRIBUTE TO A NON-MEMBER OF YOUR FRATERNITY. THE WORE YOUR VERY FRATERNITY T-SHIRTS AND SHOUTED YOUR BATTLE CRIES AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE AT YOUR FUNERAL. THEY COMRADES CHARTED BUSSES; THEY RENTED TAXES AND COMPELLED PEN-PEN RIDERS TO TAKE THEM TO THAT NEW DESTINATION. Kpaku, you were with us in the struggle in recent time and we will never forget about you. Please communicate our message to our heavenly father and tell him we need his grace, protection, guidance, endurance, fortitude and tenacity as we prepared to reinforce a new intellectual strength in the cause of the people. Oh yes, the good friend we had, the good friend we lost, we will continue to miss u comrade militant. We say don’t cry Bo, this is how life goes. I still wonder about the true intent of this new direction the guys took recently. Is it elitocricy or massescricy? Bo, only the guys know the intent of this new direction but please rest in peace and allow the God of Odu-kudu to investigate them. THOSE GUYS DREW THEIR LINE AGAINST YOU ON YOUR LAST DAY AND ITS WORRISOME COMRADE BROH. Let’s watch and see the new direction the comrades have taken. I am sure the guys will ask for forgiveness. Please forgive them if they do so because you were trained to forgive and not to hold back any evil against your brothers. SUP Chairman shouted recently in Liberia as though a country devil has entered a town condemning others for this same act they carried against you. I say, the comrade lambasted, bombarded and announced ON Fabric Radio that senior comrade and a veteran of SUP, Jerrilimeh Piah has been expelled from the party for neglecting the party and his junior brothers and sisters. Here is he in the center of this same act. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE SAME PERSON TO HAVE GIVEN THE PARTY’S REVOLUTIONARY TRIBUTE AND MANDATE TO YOU ON THE DAY OF YOUR FUNERAL BUT HE WAS ABSENT. I SAY, THE BROTHER WAS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN AT THE FUNERAL. HE ARGUED JUST YESTERDAY THAT PRESIDENT SIRLEAF SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONLY PERSON TO PAY TRIBUTE TO BISHOP FRANCIS DESPITE THE REPRESENTATION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF LIBERIA AT THE ARCHBISHOP’S FUNERAL. Should he also be expelled from SUP for his absence and neglecting you especially on the day of your departure? But only the guys know and if they are truly sincere, they will decide but leave them with their conscience. Comrade Broh, the Students Unification Party (SUP) and the Cuttington Unification Party (CUP) went into a sincere and heartfelt political fraternal marriage in 1977 to support each other and live by the same philosophy and ideology in student politics and on the national scene and in every place of work. I have since kept that promise to work with SUP. We were told to be bold, brave, intelligent and to fight against social injustice and restore academic freedom in all institutions of learning in Liberia. That fraternal marriage calls for true discipline even when a fraternal brother or sister is wrong. The marriage also calls for “Open Rebuke” when necessary to demonstrate sincerity and true correction. We are to buried a fallen comrade with a symbol and give him/her a mandate at a funeral. I have been hunted and even victimized in the process because of my stance to hold on to this fraternal marriage. The comrades in SUP know that I am a militant and true reactionary social justice activist and will never betray them but I need to be bold which this fraternal marriage supports. Comrade Broh, do not listen to them when they complain me to you. I have dazed them because we are from the same fraternity. We must practice what we preached and speak the truth to set us free. Kpaku, stop crying and be strong. I know you went without a symbol of SUP and a mandate from the Chairman of the party but take the prayers and the renewed mantle that were presented to you by me in the form of a reef and a flower on behalf of the ever potent and unassailable vanguard and unquestionable mass-based Cuttington Unification Party (CUP) Sancte, et Sapiente, be holy and wise Comrade Anthony Nimley Broh as you rest in peace.
