A Tale of Two Similar Songs (by yours Truly, Linda and Shee-it!): Okay, George Harrison wrote a song called "Apple Scruffs" about these scruffy looking Beatles fans who would occupy Savile Row (the street around the Apple Corps building in hopes of meeting the Beatles. George Harrison used this song on the B-side of "What is Life." Now Led Zeppelin had a hanger-outer too. They had this studio known as Headley Grange. It was a former workhouse/poor house that was supposedly haunted and shee-it. There was this black dog that hung around the place, supposedly looking for handouts of food. Now John Paul Jones wrote this really cool riff that Jimmy Page found very difficult to play (yet beginning guitar students nowadays eat that sort of thing up), and thus was born the song "Black Dog." A much more cooler song than Apple Scruffs.
