A Tantric Yoga Philosophy Tour in Nepal Dates: 19 - 30 March 2014 Teachers: Emil Wendel, Heather Elton, Deepti Gupta, and guests Location: Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Pashupati, Boudhanath, Patan, Bhaktapur, Pharping) Cost: £1,495 GBP (includes yoga tuition, basic shared accommodation, breakfast, and transportation to sacred sites. Lunch and dinner are not included in the price, or additional charges for single rooms.) The thread of this unique Himalayan pilgrimage is the Yoga, and we will practice yoga continuously as we travel to sacred sites in Nepal. The entire journey will be a teaching of awareness - of listening, experiencing and reflecting and transformation. We will travel as much as possible as contemporary yogis, to sacred places where we will receive teachings and blessings. We will stay in simple, but comfortable, Nepalese guesthouses; eat local vegetarian meals, dress and behave respectfully in accordance to local custom. We will sit, watch and observe ancient spiritual techniques still practiced daily amidst the rise of bustling modern Asia as we watch for the inner alchemy of transformation of the spirit. Each day/eve will have a full schedule but there will be time for shopping and exploring that travellers enjoy. The pace will be relaxed, but being in Nepal means we must expect the unexpected. Kathmandu is known as “a garbage dump filled with saints” a sacred site buried in the confusion of the modern world—it can assault and challenge your senses and you may leave never the same. Travelling requires patience, flexibility and humor. Nepal is regularly subject to transit strikes and electricity shortages but part of the yoga practice is to be flexible enough to accept change and deal with reality as it manifests. This tour will be an experience of a lifetime that will take you deep into your own practice, give you skillful means to manage your life, and a good understanding of the ancient science of yoga.
