A Teen Tern Perspective: Grace Bland Today I finally finished the Orange Journal! What a perfect way to follow up my post of the very orange Kente examples! Although we have about four journals to go, the process is moving along! We also took down the community art tapestry! Right now it looks like a pile colorful plastic. The community had an awesome time with the project, as there were strands connected to a nearby board and pieces scattered on the floor. After weeks of keeping an eye on the tapestry and refilling the supplies it was an extremely fast process of dismantling the gallery. Although I was sad to see the tapestry go down, I am super excited to see the interactive for “Forbidden City” in that space!
