A Thanksgiving night rollover wreck killed Angela Tate, 52, of St. Robert, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. Troopers reported that Tate had been driving eastbound on Highway 28 in her 2006 Ford Explorer when she ran off the right side of the roadway at 6:15 p.m., struck a utility pole, rolled onto the drivers side, and struck a second utility pole. The SUV ended up leaning against the pole, where it was found by Pulaski County Sheriffs deputies. According to sheriffs logs, deputies asked Pulaski County Ambulance District personnel to expedite their response at 6:41 p.m. for possible extrication of the crash victim, and also asked for Laclede Electric Cooperative and Waynesville Rural Fire Protection District personnel to respond due to electric line issues, with the top half of the pole still attached while the bottom half is just gone. St. Robert police also arrived, and at 7:24 p.m. emergency personnel shut down the roadway due to electric line issues as Jacks Towing removed the vehicle. The roadway was reopened at 8:13 p.m., deputies reported. Tate, who had been wearing her seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Mikel Hartnes. Her vehicle was totaled, and she was taken to Waynesville Memorial Chapel.
