A Tribute to Bhau Kalchuri Today is October 23rd. Last year this time Bhauji slipped into the arms of his Lord and Master, Meher Baba. Some of us in Los Angeles Baba center are offering a garland of loving Remembrances of Bhau Kalchuri (January 13, 1927 - October 23, 2013), who proved to be Avatar Meher Babas last living Mandali (close resident disciple), and whose company, stories, voluminous writings, talks, chats, and shared devotion to Beloved Meher Baba positively impacted all of us. Bhaujis departure from our midst affected us all, when he left. He had special connection with LA Baba family. Bhauji left many sweet memories behind. He touched many lives, went beyond limits to make Babas lovers happy, and traveled to the West more than 40 times in the past three decades. Last year Meherabode shone in Celebration of Bhaujis Life. The LA community came together to celebrate Bhaus life, sharing memories, offering music, poetry, and more. In an atmosphere of joy mingled with sadness, with devotional songs and music, and amid sweetly arrayed flowers, the life of Beloved Babas devoted servant, night-watchman, poet, author, and His John (devoted emissary) -- Bhau -- was celebrated by LA Baba-lovers.
