A Tribute to James I will never join facebook, it was my rule, Now my first post is to the memory of James O Toole, A friend for whom we all did care. And memories of him with you I share. The eighteenth of June a year ago today, Our good friend James was taken away, It is hard to believe, the year went so fast, But our memories of James will forever last. I think of the game against Monivea, And as usual from James a wholehearted display, The sing song in Glynn’s, what a wonderful night, The smile in your eyes what a wonderful sight. I think of you gathering in McGarrys of the Tuam road, Where matches of United and Liverpool were being showed, The gentle rivalry between very close friends, The record of United you would always defend. I think of you as a great Mac Hale, Whose loyalty to the club never did fail, Your spirit of generosity, training the underage, With the youth of club, how you did engage. I think of you pushing Peter in the wheelchair, You had such integrity, the way you did care, Never a night did you leave him alone, You always made sure he did get home. Only good words about you, anyone ever did say, A finer tribute no one ever could pay, Continue to look after us both day and night, Till we all meet again in a heaven so bright, Many tributes to James have been told, And many more will unfold, With our lifes we will go along, But in our hearts you will always belong. To Annie, Seamus, Sally and the o Toole clan, I am sorry for the loss of such a great man, I hope you get more strength day by day, In my thoughts and prayers you will forever stay.
