A VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY! Lowell (Toad) Redden would like to express his humble and heart-felt gratitude to everyone who participated in a very special Veteran’s Day, Indy Honor Flight #8 for he and his family. Lowell would like to personally thank the police officers that escorted him from Rushville to Indianapolis for his Indy Honor Flight #8 on November 8. A special “thank you” to Matt Vance, superintendent of the Rush county schools, for offering each county school the opportunity to participate in honoring Lowell with cards, letters and beautiful pictures from the school children. To each and every person that sent a special card or letter for the “last mail call,” please know that Lowell was so touched to know that he had so many people that took the time to remember him. Thank you to the Rushville Republican newspaper for their coverage of Lowell’s military story. Lowell received 578 pieces of correspondence to which he commented, “that should keep me busy for a while” because he is reading every piece of mail he received. A special thank you to our family; Mardeana and Steve Suttle, Erin Suttle, Amy and Ryder Liber, Heather Pohland, Brian Redden and Toad’s special puppy, Molly for attending the homecoming ceremony. And last but definitely NOT least, Lowell and I want to give a very special thanks to Kenneth Redden for fulfilling one of Lowell’s dreams to visit his great country’s capital, Washington, D.C.
