A WIDER PERSPECTIVE - Ive always liked the effect that a wide angled lens gives. It has a dramatic effect on the perception of space. It is also quite unsettling. Some cameramen have used the change from telephoto to wide angle whilst tracking in on a subject to great effect. As a child (I cant do this now) I could make a room seen infinitely large, for a few seconds only, before it shrank back to its normal size. In this snap you will see that Im working on the Carceri section of the APE interactive movie. Its been a very productive day. Piranesi would not object to the Italian crane in his space. This crane, by the way, is an historical artifact. It first appeared in a game I coded for Felix Denniss Blender magazine a few decades ago. The game featured the great dictators. Stalin was amongst them. I think Lenin also. Although I cant quite remember the object of the game.
