A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am CST Thursday. Timing: Snow is expected today throughout the entire region and will continue into tonight. Winds: north winds at 25 to 35 mph will continue along and west of the Red River Valley through tonight. This will cause blowing and drifting snow in open areas. Visibilities: reduced to less than one half mile at times in snow and blowing in open country mainly along and west of the Red River Valley. Snow accumulations: 4 to 8 inches across Southeast North Dakota and the Southern Red River Valley. 6 to 12 inches across the remainder of eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota. The Heaviest snow amounts should occur around the Roseau, Fosston, Bemidji, and Baudette area. Other impacts: Wind Chill values will also fall from 15 below to 30 below zero by Wednesday night, with dangerous wind chills continuing through late Week. Oh we are in for it now! lol! Notice heaviest amounts occuring include Bemidji.......this Texas girl is amazed at this much snow!! We could end up with 2-2 1/2 feet! Holy cow!!
