A Yuma Herbalists Journey Someday, this may be a book, but today - TopicsExpress

A Yuma Herbalists Journey Someday, this may be a book, but today it is simply a post. Twenty nine years ago I moved to Yuma, Arizona from Calexico, California where I lived for two years after moving from Washington, D.C. where I lived for two years after moving from Santa Cruz, CA. Prior to that I was in Phoenix, etc. but never had I been in one place for more than 2 years until I landed in Yuma, AZ. I birthed two, wonderful children and after the youngest moved away my journey has been nothing short of confusing in terms of moving away from here. Ive decided to write about my herbal journey since I am an herbalist and share what an incredible journey it has been. Almost 18 years ago I put into place plans to open up my hippie boutique and never did I imagine that it would morph into an herb store with over 450 bulk herbs and spices, over 350 of my own tinctures, salves and many other hand-made, herbal preparations. Somewhere along the way I started offering classes, workshops, consultations, wrote a weekly column in the local newspaper and taught herbs, aromatherapy and flower essences at the community college and most of the time I held down a job, sometimes part-time, sometimes fulltime, with the developmentally disabled and completed my bachelors degree. Now it is time to move from here and the nostalgia is almost paralyzing, so I write. More later, Blessings
