A Ziddi Girl. “Do you like me?” he asked “Yes” she said. He asked again “Do u want to keep relation with me?” “relation???”..she was surprised for asking him so directly. “You don’t know what is relation?” the tone of his voice.. as though mixed with a honey. He was talking very affectionately as always. In return she asked him in trembling voice “ I know sir, what about u, u tell me first” After 2 minutes silence he said “yes” in low voice. Again silence…he asked “why u like me?” ….she wanted to tell him how much she loves him. She wanted to tell him she like each and everything about him. But she could not speak….she kept silent. He told her “I have some other work to do, I’ll call u latter”. He cut the phone. She felt like somebody pulled her life out of her. Whole day she spent like sitting on some hot pan. She was tense, feeling guilt. Next morning she called him again. She told as Mad was with her she could not tell why she likes him. Again her voice stuck inside. She went to office. In between she sent him countless SMS. She explained how much she is mad about him. By evening she could sense he is annoyed with her. He was angry for she expressed her love for him so openly. She realized what a blunder she has committed. Evening he called her again though nothing has happened between them, though he forget everything about their conversation, about her msg’s. She was very apologetic. He told her to take it easy. It continued like that. He used to talk to her evening, while travelling to his house from office. He used to send her lovely SMS in return. He asked her whether he can come to her house one day. And he called her ‘a nice girl’ ……… When she was a kid, short and sweet her mother told her not to eat a Sugar She loved cute puppies and soft kittens, Sugar and candies a lot. The girl asked why she should not eat her fav things. She cried for the sugar, spoiled her teeth and tummy.. They called her ‘a Ziddi girl’. When she was in her early teens her brother told her not to pluck roses and buds frm the garden. She was told she’ll get hurt frm rose thorn. She loved listening to music, smell of roses and walking with friends. She asked why she should not, but never plucked any… Though they called her ‘a Ziddi girl’ for asking questions. Her brother used to watch her always, like a CID. When she was in a collage her sister told her never to see into the boy’s eye. She neither asked why nor dare to see into any boy’s eye. She become polite and delight with quitey and beauty. Her mother loved her for not asking questions. They called her ‘a Shy girl ‘. When she was in her early 20’s, a boy came to her house with her father. Her mother told to serve tea and snack to them. The boy spoke nicely in a low voice. Her brother told boy is very good and right for the girl. They marry off her, with saris and sweets. Her mother told her she can see into his eyes. The boy took her too far of places. He never watched her like her brother, allowed her to pluck roses and never stopped to listening to music, walking in the roads. He used to bring her new roses himself…Red, pink yellow, white all are faded one. They don’t smell like roses of her garden. She missed everything, her mother, brother, cute puppies, soft kittens and roses. She tried to see into his eyes, to read them and fall in love with him. She thought her mother said all rubbish, lies to her. She started repenting for missing everything. She annoyed for not doing the things when she was small, she wanted to do … And one day Mad (My Adorable Daughter) came into her life. A cute little baby. She was like cute little puppies she used to play with. Her eyes were like soft kittens she loved. Mad smells like a roses of her garden. She fell in love with Mad…...She peeped into Mad’s eyes again and again. And she was happy again. … She was happy… Until her boss was angry with her. For not obeying him, for being ‘a Ziddi Girl’
