A baby café will launch at Ushaw Moor Children’s Centre at the end of June. Baby Café, established in 2000, is a national network of breastfeeding drop-ins. Gillian Trotter, early years practitioner , said: “Why not drop in to chat to other mums, pick up a leaflet or DVD on breastfeeding or seek help from trained staff. Bring your toddlers along, they can play in the area provided while you enjoy a coffee and a chat. “Breastfeeding is the most natural way for us to feed our babies, we recognise, however, that it isn’t always easy. “Being part of the baby café means we are able to provide an even better level of support to breastfeeding mothers than we ever have done before.” Breastfeeding mums, their families and partners are welcome to drop into the Durham County Council run centre on Durham Road, DH7 7LF every Friday between 9.45am and 11.30am. To find your nearest Baby Café log on to: thebabycafe.org Members of the media and photographers are invited to attend at 9.45am.
