A beautiful comment: Im a rather pale white dude with vitiligo, hands, ankles, some other areas have no pigment. Its only noticeable when I get a tan and I dont much care because Im married, two kids, great job, many friends, I dont care that Im spotted. Still, Ive had people switch subway seats, stare at me, ask me what happened to my hands in a disgusted way, kids point and people in general act like its ebola. Its not even that noticeable because Im fair skinned. Makes me feel very sorry for people with dark skin who have it. I ways tell my kids to never stare or be afraid of people who look different or have a physical or mental issue. Once when my son and I were riding the subway to the zoo a man with no legs entered the car. My son is six and he said Hi to the man then asked him if he was going to the zoo like we were. Then he went on and on about how the zoo just closed its invertebrates house and how that was his favorite and blah blah blah. The man seemed so happy that my son didnt see him as a legless man, dude was cool too, talked to us about a lot of cool things and we gave him fist bumps when we left. I was so damn proud of my son, he got dippin dots that day.
