A beautiful tribute to Ken Small left on the Drury Funeral Home site by my sister. From the moment Amanda introduced us to her honeybun we all knew that he was her Knight in shining armour and soulmate. He became her devoted husband and an amazing step-dad to Connor and Rebecca. Amanda once described his introduction into their lives as seamless. He just fit right in. He was a gem to all of us. Always looking out for everyone else, treating my parents as though they were his own and always making us welcome and feeling cared for while we were in his presence. Grace will tell you that her uncle Kenny is her very own Honeybun. She talks about their times in the pool with laughter and delight. She was relentless and he was patiently willing. One more race uncle Ken, to which he always obliged. Even in his hospital bed, in pain and discomfort, he would look up to her and much to her delight, give her the sparkly finger wave. And that is how we will remember Ken.... Putting others before himself and making us all feel special. He was a magical gift for all of us, with us only a short time but leaving us with infinite beautiful memories and wonder. We love you Ken and will miss you always. Rest well my brother until we Meet again....xxooxxoo
