A big part of what Im trying to do with the Miles By Motorcycle web site is to create a place where we can plan and share our motorcycle trips. This involves maps. Not maps for navigation but maps for inspiration and story telling. For us, roads are a destination, not a way of getting somewhere. Unfortunately, the map code is terribly complex, large and quite buggy. Ive made another pass through it and I think its better but its still what I would call proof of concept. Its definitely not ready for prime time. I have, however, put together a document describing what Im trying to build and how to use whats there.
