A big shout out to the Washington State Department of Transportation. In just 2-1/2 weeks they removed the collapsed span on the I-5 bridge and replaced it with a temporary span. Major north-south corridor used by 70,000 vehicles per day is now re-opened. Permanent replacement span will be installed before the end of summer. (This is the bridge that collapsed three minutes after I had just crossed it.)
