A big thank you goes out to the Melges 24 teams that traveled near and far to Houston Yacht Club for the Houston Open One Design Regatta. Not only did we have some tight racing, we also had the largest SB fleet (in fact the M24 was only eclipsed by the J22 and J24 fleets). Unfortunately we didnt get to do the unofficial fleet meet and greet, but I know we did get to pass around the idea about the next years TEXAS CIRCUIT! Here is what we have come up with. I wish we can also include a NOLA stop. Some of these dates might be one week early or one week later. March 7-8, Rush Creek Yacht Club will host the M24 Fleet at their annual Texas Independence Day Regatta! June 13-14 the stop will be in Corpus Christi. September 19-20 we are going to be back at HYC for HOOD! November 14-15 is Wurstfest Regatta in Lake Canyon Yacht Club. Please feel free to express your thoughts...we think four stops for next year will be a great start, but another (spring) regatta is not out of the question.
