A big thank you to Sarges family Emily and Nic who went to look at three dogs for us today at the shelter. Two are emaciated and one is a senior. We are going to profile them one by one all require foster carers. Meet Yazzie - this girl is a heartbreaker. We were told she is 5 but she looks about 10. She has gained weight at the shelter and is receiving treatment for her skin, but her ears are really troubling her and if you look at the picture of her leg - this is all over her body. We want to move her as soon as possible so we are phoning our vets tomorrow to see if we can get her admitted. We will then need a foster carer. Yazzie is emaciated. Her hip bones stick out. She is sweet but slightly wary of men - so is best ignored and let her come up to you in her own time. She is not aggressive - its like she is expecting a blow which is heartbreaking. Can you open your hearts and home and help this beautiful girl gain some weight, help her skin to heal but most of all heal her soul. This girl is broken and needs to be loved. She is currently kennelled with a male dog so could be fostered with a male but is untested with cats. Untested doesnt mean not good - it means that we dont know at this stage. If you can help Yazzie please email us at [email protected] and put Yazzie in the subject line. If you have previously sent in a foster form and feel you meet Yazzies requirements please send us an email as today has been an extremely busy day and it will enable us to pull out your foster application and save us time.
