A blast from the my files. Some might remember this from July 2002. I lived in CA when this hit the airwaves. 16 year old Donovan Jackson was not only slammed face down while handcuffed behind his back. The cop also punched, choked him and ripped off his chain. The pay out was 3 mil. The cop was finally (after much OUTRAGE) CHARGED WITH ASSAULT but got away from a hung jury and charges dropped. But how this was filmed and what happened to the man who just happened to see this from his motel window is what we then had to fight. It might be of interest how the cops came at him (which was caught on camera) as he screamed help from their unmarked, ununiformed cops but also of interest is where jessy and sharpton came into the picture.
