A blessed Ramadaan Kareem to all my Muslim friends, family, - TopicsExpress

A blessed Ramadaan Kareem to all my Muslim friends, family, acquaintances and the entire1.7 billion around the world. Ramadaan (9th Month on the Islamic calendar) is the Month in which the Quran was revealed (over a period of 23 years; Muhammad- peace be upon him, received its first revelation on Mount Hira, instructing the unlettered Prophet to READ). All Muslims (and broader mankind too, should they so please, as the benefits within The Quran is not just for Muslims exclusively) are thus urged to READ the Quran, doing so with deep reflection, sincere understanding and spiritual introspection that inspires Allah/God consciousness in all our actions. This sincere meditation and actions together with feeding the poor and the indigent will culminate in good by drawing one closer to Allah, thus helping one to refrain from evil and sin. The Quran is also known as Furqaan-a Criteria to judge between wrong and right and a Guide as our MORAL compass. Surah 73:20 concludes with sound advice Verily, your Lord knows that you do stand (to pray at night) a little less than two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and so do a party of those with you, And Allâh measures the night and the day. He knows that you are unable to pray the whole night, so He has turned to you (in mercy). So, recite you of the Qurân as much as may be easy for you. He knows that there will be some among you sick, others travelling through the land, seeking of Allâhs Bounty; yet others fighting in Allâhs Cause. So recite as much of the Qurân as may be easy (for you), and perform As-Salâah (5 times daily prayer) and give Zakat (wealth tax), and lend to Allâh a goodly loan, and whatever good you send before you for yourselves, (i.e. Nawâfil non-obligatory acts of worship: prayers, charity, fasting, Hajj and Umrah, etc.), you will certainly find it with Allâh, better and greater in reward. And seek Forgiveness of Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful. The core purpose of the blessed Month of Ramadaan is thus to draw closer to Allah in developing taqwa (Love for God, or God consciousness/fearing). My humble request is to make dua (prayers) for all mankind and their well being.
