A book review on one of my favorite blogs-- The Seventeenth - TopicsExpress

A book review on one of my favorite blogs-- The Seventeenth Century Lady, run by the learned and witty Andrea Zuvich. The debate between Parliamentarian/Royalist is still a fierce one, and, as with most hotly contested historical debates, there are points to be made on both sides. Its not often that we get a balanced account that does not come down squarely in the Royalist camp or the Parliamentarian camp. This book is definitely going on my wish list. It also makes me curious as to which side of the Civil War my history-loving Facebook friends would have chosen, had they lived in those tumultuous times. Royalist? Parliamentarian? And why?
