A brief glance at my logbook, highlighted its been over a month since my last flight. Small airplane engines dont like sitting unused. It can lead to unwanted maintenance headaches. Even at 15°F and winds north, gusting to 24mph, conditions will not be this inviting for several days. 15 minutes with a propane pre-heater, and I was ready. This snippet features taxiing over snow and ice...then departing, a mostly dry, runway 36 at Augusta Municipal (3AU). It may be a bit boring...but I dont usually drive an aircraft in these conditions. Ill post some in-flight video later, as time permits.
