A brief photo up-date - fresh from Ko Samui, Thailand, and last week one from Malaysia. This Buddhist temple is placed on an island situated on a lake, itself on the Ko Samui island. Not too far from it, a golden statue of Buddha sits on top of a mount, visible quite from afar. In general, the Buddhist Thai religious architecture is positively striking with its elaborateness and rich pallette of colours. Cameron Heights - a mountainous region in the middle of Malay peninsula. Photos taken during the commute from Penang to Perhentian. Tea and rice plantations, at various locations. Especially the rice terraces impress with the amount of work required to establish and maintain them. An example of well organised collective effort characteristic for the Asian mindset.
