A brutal home invasion and robbery in Houston came to an abrupt end when one of the victims, after being beaten by the suspects, was able to slip away and grab a gun from his car. Tai Carr, a local rapper known as Doughbeezy, was one of several victims assaulted during the attempted robbery outside a friend’s home. Once inside the home, while the suspects were dealing with the other victims, Carr was able to slip away unnoticed and grab a handgun from trunk of his vehicle. Carr then went back inside the home and shot one of the suspects, causing the second suspect to flee. He was later apprehended.
