A bummer to say I didnt get Katahdin this time....myself and the 9 others today that tried to summit got blasted with 50mph+ winds and frigid temps...we had everything from rain, ice and snow to an AT climber that broke his foot on a fall on our descent...after spending nearly 5 months of his life and hiking over 2100 miles....everyone pulled together even though most of us were strangers and all are back safe at the campground. Although its a disappointment we are all here to see another summit day and all will take away experience only the mountains can teach us .
