A cake that I made this past weekend for a bridal shower! This is a three tiered cake. Bottom cake is a white cake with vanilla pudding filling, middle cake is chocolate cake with chocolate pudding filling and the top cake is lemon cake with raspberry filling. All three cakes are covered in white vanilla buttercream icing and then a thin layer of white vanilla buttercream fondant. I then created the black ribbon on the bottom of each layer and then the swirls with black vanilla buttercream fondant. All were then gum glued to the layers. The peony flowers and the LOVE letters are made with fondant/gumpaste and allowed to dry. I added black hearts and a white ribbon before gluing the flowers to the layers. I love black and white cakes with an accent color-I think they take on a more sophisticated look! Also need to add, the flowers were dusted with a white pearl dust and the LOVE letters were given a dusting of red disco dust!
