A caregiver transferred half a million dollars from the account of her 85-year-old client to her own bank accounts, Nassau police said. Marilyn Fullam, 74, of 714 N. Monroe Ave., Lindenhurst, surrendered to police Friday and was charged with second-degree grand larceny. Her client, an Oceanside woman, received a $500,000 check from her annuity account while she was in the hospital, so Fullam deposited it into her clients Bank of America account on Sept. 4, police said. Fullam was an authorized signer in that account and was supposed to use that money for her clients health and welfare, police said. But one day after depositing the annuity funds, Fullam opened a Capital One bank account in her name only and deposited a $250,000 check from the victims funds, police said. Later, Fullam opened a Citibank account and deposited another $250,000 check from her clients account into it without the woman knowing, police said. Her surrender came after an investigation by Nassau detectives. She is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead. newsday/long-island/cops-caregiver-stole-half-million-dollars-from-client-1.9642131
