All of the 10 vehicles have been used and will be put into operation after their right-hand drives have been changed to left-hand ones. These automobiles are part of a nonrefundable aid package of the Japanese Government for Vietnam to contribute to improving the five provinces’ capability for fire prevention and fighting, salvage, and rescue. Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Katsuro Nagai, Head of the Economic Board of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, expressed his hope that the five provinces’ fire prevention and fighting forces will efficiently exploit and use the fire trucks, contributing to ensuring the safety of fire prevention and fighting in particular and the localities’ social order and safety in general.
