A civil rights lesson for my young Black Americans: Iranian Ayatollah Khamenei (@Khamenei.ir), along with other Iranian leaders, is taking to Twitter expressing his empathy and solidarity with the people of #Ferguson. He is condemning the treatment of African-Americans, stating that the Brutal treatment of black ppl isn’t indeed the only anti-human rights act by US govt... and similar statements. Hes attempting to stir anti-Zionist sentiment among Black people, falsely connecting the tragedy of Ferguson to Israel. The pictures you see are a small example of how the benevolent ayatollah slaughters is own people; pictures very familiar to Black Americans who know their history. If Iran does this to their own people, can you imagine how Black Africans are treated there? Yes. Africans are practically enslaved in Iran. Why is Ayatollah Khamenei reaching out to you? 1. Hes trying to win the hearts and minds of Black young men and women so they will see Iran as an ally. 2. He thinks youre stupid - a common belief among most Persian and Arab communities (sad, but true). 3. He hates Israel and wants you to hate Israel. (Israel is the only nation in the Middle East where Arabs, Jews, Africans, Europeans have political, religious and social freedom). #knowledgeispower
