A clarion call! Re:Chief B.I.Umelo One of the problems facing us as a country is the fact that we fail to consider the most relevant factors based on antecedents when choosing our representatives in Government. That is why the necessary dividends of democracy other countries take for granted still thrill us when the politicians use then as object of campaign viz Light,water,good road,affordable health care etc.Yet,they have remained elusive till date.But when our choices are based on selfless service to the community by one who who attached no strings to the services, then and only then shall we have representatives that has an inherent and selfless urge to work for the people. There is no one in Njaba and even beyond who has not witnessed or benefited from the generosity of the man CHIEF B.I UMELO.When so many graduates were wallowing in abject unemployment,Chief Umelo against all odds took it upon himself to make sure his people were gainfully employed.The fact and records are there. I am a direct beneficiary of his benevolence.My immediate elder brother is a big man today in GTbank courtesy of his sacrifice.Testimonies abound.When I came out with my literary debut THE PRICE OF REVENGE he was there despite his then tight political schedule to give his usual support. This man is humble,officious,visionary,charismatic, rich(not from politics),benevolent, selfless in service and above all God fearing.It is time we open our eyes and elect people that can satisfy our age long yearnings. The greatest mistake we will make in this present dispensation is to elect the wrong person into the house. Let us take our destiny in our hands and make sure that Njaba is adequately represented and then we shall have rest for our soul.
