A clients husband was surprised I went from nearly completing a masters degree in Chemistry to wanting to become a midwife. I guess he expected most people drawn to birth are uneducated hippies. Maybe he should meet more of my friends. Very educated. Some hippies. Most simply crunchy. We had conversations on many chemicals in our diet and he sort of geeked out that I could keep up and contribute. Would he have been as impressed if my degree was from Google? Im thinking if you can read and you can think you can be educated. Internet helpful. Degree not necessary. Also, be careful how you judge someone. Just because you wear your hair long, live on a farm, and prefer dresses over slacks, it doesnt say anything about your intelligence or worth. Except maybe that youve figured out what life is about.
