A comment I wrote on another post: I must say I disagree with those hating on Dracula Untold. I dont think there is a problem with fiction when it deviates from reality. We must keep in mind that fiction is not truth. If we understand that, then we will be vigilant with information recieved from fiction, as it is not truth. If fiction must follow truth, then it is no longer is called fiction. This discourse of whether fiction is acceptable or not reminds me of a time when fiction was declared haram as made up stories were not truths, but are seen as lies. Therefore, the approach is not to condemn Dracula Untold as a fiction, but rather to spread truthful information.
