Each person a Common Pleas judge sends to prison from their county that county earns $10,000 (per person)? Stark County Common Pleas Court has 5 judges, if one judge sentences 5 people to prison in a day (not The County jail) that judge made 50,000 for that one day. Now if all 5 judges send 5 people to prison in one day thats $250,000 for that day. There are 88 counties in ohio if each county has 5 judges(they dont but as a example) and they all send 5 people to prison in one day( I can get accurate numbers of common pleas judges) thats 22,000,000 a day 22 mil multiplied by 30 days a month is 660,000,000 OF TAX PAYERS MONEY per month. When a prisoner leaves the county and goes to prison thats when they trade the prisoners name for a number. The reason for this is that it costs between $32,000 and $109,000 a year (taxpayers money) to imprison one person. It’s safe to say if the person was unemployed as a free person then they were not worth between $32,000 and $109,000 a year. So they take the prisoners name (since hes worth between $32,000 and $109,000 a year now) and get a loan from Chase bank for minimum $250,000. The 250,000 is then put into a money market growth fund at (0.1% interest on every dollar invested:a penny per dollar) drawing interest that pays out every month until the prisoner is released. The gov gives the bank back the $250,000 and keeps the interest plus our tax dollars for that prisoner. So now do you see why we make up the majority in Americas prison system?
