A committed, GODLY man perspective, revived.... A Proverbs Awareness Challenge! Day 17 of 31: A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Proverbs 17:17 (AKJV) When do we lose friends? Is it when the day is done? When we graduate middle school, high school, or college? When one of us moves to another part of town, city, another state or country? Or is it when we fail or dont meet their standards of living? Or maybe when we chose another religion, profession, or mate? How about a trial, tribulation, or adversity? A true friend is never lost! Dare I to say that not even in death do we lose a friend. A true friendship is constant, never ending. Unlike those fair weather people that come around when our life is experiencing the happiness of spring and summer, a true friend remains a friend when our life goes through the bitter cold of winter. A friend loves unconditionally, never cast judgement, are prudent, generous, and respectful. Those that are fanciful or selfish in their friendship will love no longer than their humor is pleased and their interest served, and therefore their affections turn with the wind and change with the weather. When affliction, persecution, or adversity confronts us a friend is always there to help in some capacity. Most friendships are born in the good times, however friendships that are built to last are solidified during the hard times! A true friendship is a two-way street with no speed bumps, or stop signs, and the traffic lights are always green allowing the constant free flow of unconditional love!!!
