A common question asked by parents: How do I get my child to - TopicsExpress

A common question asked by parents: How do I get my child to improve in writing? My answer is simple: give your child the opportunity to write on a daily basis. This could be something as simple as writing a shopping list, or writing notes on post-it notes. Even if your child cannot write yet, teach them that writing is a form of communication and is just as important as speaking, listening, texting, facebooking, twittering and instagramming. Its a way of expressing yourself through words and can be functional, funny, poetic, emotional, crude, ambiguous, creative or aggressive - whatever you want it to be. Call me old fashioned, but dont you just wish that children these days could write like Ann Frank in Ann Franks Diary????
