Earlier when the UPA was in power, there were reports even President’s house was put under American surveillance along with some other Dr. Manmohan Singh ministers like Defence minister A.K. Antony which the then opposition NDA took up strongly. Actually, it was Snowden, an American who hacked some of the American top website dealing with diplomats deployed everywhere in the world to get secrets of the countries wherever they were posted as Ambassadors and since Snowden’s revelation, he was made to run for his life and at the moment he is safe in Russia where Putin allowed him temporary asylum. India was made one of the countries, according to Snowden leak, so that the US NSA was allowed to share information under a programme code-named “Rampart 4” in which information sharing was allowed and under the cover of this programme, easy access facilitated through certain innovative devices planted deep inside India’s ruling establishment to eke out highly classified information that would then help the US and its business establishments to pitch their tents in India. According to the information that is out now, this arrangement started since October 2013 according to Dr. Subramaniam Swami, earlier a one man army under the banner, Janata Party, but is now a member of the BJP who often appear as a strong spokesman on policy issues. This Swami’s strong antagonism against the Congress’s first family could be seen when he filed a case in a Delhi court against acquisition of property of the erstwhile Congress party mouth piece National Herald by using the party funds. The court has issued notices against the Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi in that case. Dr. Subramaniam Swami is also a hard advocate of Hindutva now and he is working behind the BJP’s hidden agenda’s like abrogation of Article 370, UCC, declaring India as a Hindu Rashtra and even disenfranchising India’s minority community, if and when he has his own ways. So, as usual, when the snoop-gate scandal broke out, first from the house of Nitin Gadkari, a powerful minister in the Modi cabinet, in whose bed room certain devices were found which the Indian intelligence agencies believe as bugging instruments and Swamy is ready with his views. Though Gadkari stated it as a highly speculative affair, soon there were two more reports of snooping in some other minister’s houses. While this issue was hotly debated in Indian medias, the American Secretary of State, John Kerry is in New Delhi in preparation of establishing a strong Indo-US relation, consequent to take over of power by the right wing Modi govt. John Kerry’s speech for this new twist in American stand, according to his own Hindi retake of Modi’s election speech “Sab ke saath Sab ka Vikaas” (Along with all, development for all) which, according to the American’s, is a good idea and the US want to help India in this endeavor. Whereas, Snowden revealed that the US NSA when included India too in their list of countries wherefrom information sharing was entered into, the Americans wanted to target only one political party, the BJP, to be put under surveillance, as according to them, taking over of power by the right wing BJP in India was a threat then and was not going to work with the American interest. Perhaps, the then Congress led UPA too wanted to enter into the new American information sharing plan to put the BJP under check, but they too were then not knowing that under the cover of that scheme the American intelligence wanted to enter with their highly sophisticated devices into the bedrooms of India’s key ministers dealing with important policy matters. Now when the bugging incident broke out from Nitin Gadkari’s house, this Pandora’s Box opened and the Media start hair-splitting the whole affair. The other day while debating the issue with political party representatives, intellectuals and men in intelligence, it was revealed that the Congress though accept their folly of allowing the US NSA to snoop such deep into our national affairs, they argue that since the BJP who came to power with strong stand point to protect national interest and more over they have got a clear mandate, why couldn’t they put the issue under investigation to find out the whole truth. Why was the BJP allowing the same plan to continue when they now understood that even the BJP’s ministers too are under surveillance of the US? Even Dr. Subramaniam Swami too demands a white paper on the whole incident as he is sure one industrialist of India is involved in this incident and he asks what his interest was. Who is that industrialist is not revealed as yet. From what has now come out from the CAG report on the Gujarat govt. working where corruption/favoritism too, few big industrial groups like Ambanies and Adanis running into thousands of crores is brought out. Though the current Gujarat CM Anandi Ben rejected the CAG report outright, it is not that easy for the BJP to reject a CAG findings, as based on the CAG reports only the BJP could target the Congress led UPA at the centre and discredit its rule as mired in corruption. If they can believe that CAG report and malign the Congress/UPA why not the current CAG reports on Gujarat govt. dealings? PM N. Modi’s silence on all these latest development in the country is highly objective. Soon, he must come out with his own statement. If the BJP and its core team while in opposition could be so vehement in pointing out Dr. Manmohan Singh’s silence, whenever they brought out cases of corruption, mismanagement and mis-governance and the people of India stood with them then, now it is their time to prove they are not like the Congress/UPA. As long as they maintain the same silent stand of the Congress/UPA, time is running out for the BJP/NDA to come clean on all the charges now being leveled against them, the sooner the better. India is now completely under the surveillance grip of the Americans and the wooing of Modi govt. by America and their strong interest to work with the Modi is something very strange. Certainly, Modi is now put in a catch 22 situation. He should know what the American’s did everywhere they meddled or rather interfered. The Middle East is burning and Obama is now fiddling. Lybia is in fire so also Ukraine and Syria. What is going on in Gaza need no elaboration here? In the middle of all these, America’s only concern is their business interest and India need to re-look on its foreign policy, economic policy and its long term interest very carefully and cautiously. Even its relationship with its immediate neighborhood is not improving a bit ahead, as Sri Lanka is still catching hold of Indian fishermen, Pakistan has violated the ceasefire about 20 times with in two months of BJP rule. China already pitched its tent much deep in Ledakh. What all Modi talked all through his election campaigning in April 2014, he needs to prove through his walking as the Indian PM when the people of India put their whole trust on his 56” chest.
