A cool morning, up and awake before the coffee merchants. In armour a bit after nine, weather was perfect, some cloud, a cool breeze and low humidity. We lined up at the north end of the battle field by the fort, with West, Caid, and Atenvelt. Sir Bain drilled us as a unit for a bit, and then we took our ease while waiting for the Tu Chux to declare. They joined the East and lined up opposing us. Our General was Sir Ajax, resplendent in a feathered Ancient Greek helm. For the first battle we received the charge, which did not work out to well for us. For the next two battles we took it to them as fast as possible, hugging the edge of the world for a secure anchor. Outnumbered, and with some calibration issues, we lost, but did better each time. For the last two battles we swapped to the southern flank, facing off against Blood Guard from Atlantia. A lot of fighters changed sides so the numbers were more even. We won the next two fights and I even survived the last one. When they called the penultimate hold, there were five guys with blue tape in the middle of several hundred guys with red tape. I bounced off the field with a silly grin on my face, and got the the quick court where Ajax was made a knight banneret. So far, a really great day. West Kingdom Viking Lua party tonight!
