A copy of an email sent to Vic Roads, Mitchell shire and the TAC - TopicsExpress

A copy of an email sent to Vic Roads, Mitchell shire and the TAC this morning, had a gutful and its time to escalate things. I have mentioned this before to both Vic roads and the local council and it continually just gets fobbed off. I live in the Mitchell shire, my route to work takes me up Kilmore-Lancefield rd, this road has a 100kph speed limit and no lighting, every so often we have a pot hole on the road needing to be fixed, on average I would say every 3 months there is roadwork on this road, the road repairs invariably involve dropping some hot bitumen over the hole then top dressing with bluestone screenings making the road an ice rink wherever the roadworks have occured. I ride a motorcycle and have enough to deal with betweeen other road users, local wildlife and concentrating on the road, I have encountered roadworks on a corner in my car, not so bad as other wheels gain traction, rest assured if i EVER have an accident on my motorbike on this road due to road works, you want to hope its fatal because if not Ill be taking legal action against the council, Vic Roads and the contractor concerned, roadworks need to consider that not everyone drives a car/truck/bus and that us motorcycle riders would like to be thougt about now and again as we have loved ones that would like to see us home!
