“A country jewel” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 June 2014 NEW My wife and I went for a Sunday drive and after checking tripadvisor, decided to book at the Red Windmill for lunch on a cold and windy day. We asked for a table near the fire and when we arrived, our table was all set in front of the lovely warm fire. The decor is charming farm cottage style and the crockery is vintage . The hostess Dee met us at the door and once we were seated showed us the specials. We had 2 of the specials which were both superb. The bouillabaisse was rich and full of fish, mussels and prawns. The waterblommetjiebredie with lamb was delicious. We really loved the combination of gourmet food in a lovely relaxed country setting topped off with attentive and relaxed service by the owner. We can really recommend the Red Windmill when you are in this lovely part of the Cape. Visited June 2014 5 of 5 stars Value 4 of 5 stars Atmosphere 5 of 5 stars Service 5 of 5 stars Food
