A couple months back, Bob Redmond (the fellow who orchestrated my triumphant return Bumbershoot 10 years after the police ran me out just because I led hundreds of people into the fountain and somehow ended up on top of the thing...) rung me up to tell me about a new project of his. He left the arts and promotion world and has been working on a campaign to create more habitat for bees. Following examples set in a few spots around the world, hes convinced the powers that be(e) to allow his team to utilize the vast buffer area around SeaTac Airport to be(e) used as honeybee habitat. Tonight (Monday - June 16) Ill be(e) playing a benefit concert for Bobs organization Common Acre at the lovely Triple Door. I guess ticket sales are a bit slow, and Im really hoping there will be a good turnout for this. I play in Seattle pretty rarely now, and for this show Ill actually be playing a full set - making it the longest concert Ill have given in Seattle in nearly three years. Here is the information: June 16 The Triple Door 7 pm - All Ages - $25 Benefit for Common Acre With Half Brothers and Answering Machines Tickets here: tickets.thetripledoor.net/eventperformances.asp?evt=740 Hope you can come! Please spread the word about this show and this excellent cause!
