A couple of days ago an Islamic scholar and Director of the Muslim rights concern, Prof. Ishaq Akintola accused of be anti-Islamic by saying the newly unveiled 100 Naira note has a star of David a jewish symbol. I may not be a fan of President GEJ but for a man who is clearly enlighten to bear the title of a professor, it is a total shame that he would whip up sentiments that are capable of causing chaos. Maybe Prof. Akintola has being living in the stone age of his farmland in far away Yoruba and has recently crawled out of his cafe, had he been living in this age he would probably have notice the Arabic inscription on the all the Naira Notes, for as long as possible. It was just recently that inscription was removed from the lower denominations of 5,10, 20 and 50 Naira notes, but the 100,200,500 and 1000 Naira notes still carry these Inscriptions till date. Had this so-called professor been in this country he still would have notice that most of our national moments like Carry Arabic/Islamic Architecture, prominently among them being the National Assemble, without anybody saying anthing Nigeria is not an islamic Nation and we dont need some Prof. heightening up emotions. Shame on you Prof. Ishaq Akintola.
