A couple of days ago while in the grocery store with Trinity....I had a lady stop me and complement me on how beautiful Trinity is and how pretty her completion and skin tone is.....then the lady said does she get that from you? As many many responses ran through my mind only one came out of my mouth....I simply stated that both of us tend to get pretty dark in the summer.....she smiled and walked away. Ive went over and over this conversation time and time again in my mind and I just wonder.....does it matter where her skin color comes from....does it matter if she doesnt have my eyes or smile or hair? Nope it sure doesnt because she is my daughter despite where her skin tone came from.....she may not have grown under my heart but she sure did grow in it!!! I know it shouldnt but sometimes a simple strangers comment can really get to me.
