A couple of things pertaining to our part of the region were conducted at Council last night. Firstly Micks Learn to Swim School in Mudgee was given a reprieve last night and he has 6 months to bring all buildings up to Aussie standards and to rectify parking issues whilst still being able to operate, a unanimous decision to my motion. Secondly, the entrance signage into our towns were deferred until next budget as no consensus was reached in our community and Council on what was acceptable signage, the money put aside for this will be reallocated at the next financial review. Its not off the books but we need to have more appropriate designs submitted for consideration. Lastly, the Rylstone Aerodrome Council payments and fees for the proposed development was deferred to give the owner a chance to negotiate these fees to try a kick start this development. All agreed with this bar 2. The least Cr. Thompson and Martens can do when continuously voting against any progress for Kandos and Rylstone, is at least explain why.
