A couple of thoughts on the US Senate race here in Mississippi. First, it frustrates me that the US Chamber has gotten involved with TV ads in the race characterizing Chris McDaniel as a Trial Lawyer. I have railed against plaintiff oriented extortion attorneys for years, but I can assure you that Chris McDaniel is not one of those guys. The word I hear is the case this ad refers to is one where he represented his family in a civil action. I cant think of many who wouldnt defend his family in similar situations. Second point concerns the Meth bill the Cochran campaign is running that refers to as Chris voting against. Let me put this in caps for emphasis.....HAD I BEEN IN THE LEGISLATURE, I WOULD HAVE VOTED AGAINST THAT BILL AS WELL!!! I dont favor penalizing law abiding citizens by limiting their ability to us a legal product. We should be enacting laws that penalize the lawbreaking meth heads, or get rid of law enforcement officers that arent cut out for police work, not folks that use Sudafed! Not happy with the tea party continually calling conservatives that dont agree with them Rhinos either...... but I think thats a different novel for a different night!!!
